How to automatically reply to Instagram comments with a DM
PulseHub Help
When someone comments your keyword, PulseHub sends them a DM with your link, automatically.
A comment is the warmest moment on social. Someone has just raised their hand and said, in effect, “I want this.” The DM reply feature makes sure you never miss it: when a person comments your keyword on a post, PulseHub replies in their DMs with your link, in seconds, even while you’re with a client.
Why it works
The window where someone is interested is short. Reply an hour later and the moment has
passed. This feature closes that gap to seconds, turns a public comment into a private
conversation, and saves the person as a contact so you can follow up by email long after.
Before you start
Your Instagram is connected to PulseHub (a Business or Creator account) and/or your Facebook Page.
The one keyword you want to watch for.
The link you’ll send, ideally your new bio page.
Set it up step by step
1. In Settings, go to Integrations and connect your Instagram and Facebook. Instagram must be a Business or Creator account.
2. Go to Automation, then Workflows, and create a new workflow.
3. Add the trigger for a comment on a post, choosing Instagram or Facebook.

4. Set your keyword, for example PAGE or PRICES. Keep it to one clear word in capitals so it’s easy to say and spot.
5. Add the Instagram interactive messenger action and write your message, including the link you want to send.

6. Add a public comment reply too if you like, such as “Just sent it to your DMs”, so others can see it working.
7. Add a step to create or update the contact and tag them, for example “commented PAGE”, so you can follow up later.
8. Publish the workflow, then comment your keyword on a post to test that the DM lands.
Pro tip. Put the keyword in your caption and say it out loud in the video: “comment PAGE and I’ll send you the link.” Clear instructions lift replies far more than hoping people guess.
Common questions
Which accounts do I need? An Instagram Business or Creator account, and a Facebook Page. Personal profiles won’t connect.
Does it work on posts I’ve already shared? Yes. Once the workflow is live it watches new comments on your posts, including older ones.
Are there limits on the DMs? There is a limited window for automatic DMs, which is exactly why the workflow also saves the person as a contact. That way you can keep following up by email after the window closes.
Your next step
Point the link in your DM at your new mobile landing page so every comment leads to a page that can book or capture them. If you’d like this built and tested with you, book a call.
